Louie the Natick Fire Department firehouse dog will make a special appearance at Firehouse Dog storytime at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at Bacon Free Library, 58 Eliot St., Natick.

Louie will be accompanied by a firefighter who will  be reading “Clifford the Firehouse Dog’’ by Norman Bridwell.

Those attending can hear the story, learn about safety and meet Louie.
