Pat and Kathy Moynihan have received the Founders Award from the Natick Service Council.
They were honored for their years of commitment to the organization and their support for its mission.
“NSC is a behind the scenes unsung hero to those Natick residents among us who are most in need,’’ the couple said in a statement. “The organization doesn’t look for headlines or recognition, but rather it focuses on the work.’’
They praised the team effort. “From the talented staff to the many dedicated volunteers, the services performed by NSC for Natick’s most vulnerable are unparalleled in the community.’’
Their experiences with the council have deepened their appreciation, they said. “As donors we know that our contributions stay local and go to a great cause. And, as volunteers, we have experienced first-hand not only how the needs of clients are being met, but also have witnessed the expressions of joy and genuine gratitude for the help received. It is something to see and you can’t help but feel good about it.”
