Funds Raised to Honor ‘Mrs. V’ with Plaque

An effort is ongoing to honor a beloved Johnson School community member with a memorial on the Cochituate Rail Trail..
Natick resident Katherine Penders von der Lieth, who was 57 when she died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, will be memorialized with a bronze plaque at the red bicycle sculpture on the trail.

Affectionally known as Mrs. V, she was described in her obituary as a “paraprofessional and expert chocolate chip pancake maker’’ for the Johnson School. The students and staff at the school were devoted to her, the obituary states.
She was a dedicated runner, gardener, and flower lover.
