The Natick Fire Department reports that the community displayed “outstanding generosity’’ during its Toys for Tots campaign in December, which they described as a “great success.’’.

The department hosted a fill a truck event from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 13 at Sherwood Plaza. 

New, unwrapped toy donations were also accepted at the stations.

Toys for Tots is a charity sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that collects and distributes toys and other gifts to economically disadvantaged children during the holidays.
