A new year brings a new election cycle. Election day is Tuesday, March 31.

Here are some deadlines and information to keep in mind. 

Open offices for the 2026 election include: Select Board (2 seats available each for a 3 year term)

- School Committee (2 seats available each for a 3 year term)

- Planning Board (1 seat for a 5 year term)

- Planning Board Associate Member (1 seat for a 5 year term)

- Recreation & Parks Commission (2 seats available each for a 3 year term)

- Board of Assessors (1 seat for a 3 year term)

- Board of Health (1 seat for a 3 year term)

- Housing Authority (1 seat for a 5 year term)

- Town Meeting Member, Precincts 1-10 (3 year term with only 10 signatures from your precinct to get onto the ballot)

Nomination papers are available now at the Town Clerk’s Office. Twenty-signatures from any registered voter in town are required to secure a place on the ballot. Completed papers must be submitted to the Clerk’s Office for certification no later than Jan. 6, 2026.
