Natick celebrates MLK Day Jan. 19

Natick will host its 21st annual Martin Luther King Day celebration Monday, Jan. 19 at Natick High School.

Each year, the celebration has included a service project and an opportunity for connecting with neighbors and community resources. Community partners also highlight ways for people to deepen their learning, take everyday actions for justice and inclusion, stand up against racism, spread kindness and build a community where everyone belongs.

A community connection will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Starbucks refreshments.

The program starts at 10 a.m.

The keynote presentation will be offered by Audi Lynch, the METCO director at the Natick schools.

The program will include musical performances by students, middle school creative contest winners, community leaders and partners and interfaith clergy representatives.

All community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food or unopened, unexpired personal care items and diapers of all sizes to Fill the Van for the Natick Service Council from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on that day.
