The Natick Fire Department is hosting a fill a truck event for Toys for Tots from noon to 4  p.m. Dec. 13 at 3 Dean Road, Sherwood Plaza.

Since 1947, Toys for Tots, which is sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserve, has distributed 708 million toys to 314 million children. 

Although closely associated with the holiday season, the effort is year-round.
