CRT Extension to Natick Center - MBTA Station Coming Soon!
In the near future, the Cochituate Rail Trail will extend 1/4 mile to the new Natick Center MBTA Station. We are planning an event to celebrate this wonderful new connection. For now, most of the MBTA station is open, with covered, lighted bike parking across from the Outdoor Store, and fully accessible platforms for commuter rail service between Boston and Worcester.

When the trail extension is open, it will include direct access to the outbound platform, with stairs, ramps and elevators to bring passengers to the inbound platform, as well as additional covered bike parking. That is something to celebrate!
On Aug. 9, the first course of paving from Mechanic Street to the station was installed. Additional paving, landscaping, signage, pavement markings and safety features are still to come. This is still an active construction zone and is not yet open to the public.
